Time for regeneration

It's time for transitions again and time for changes. Unlike the last time when I was 17, I feel like I may have a slightly better outlook on things this time. I think this may be purely driven by lots of rewatching 'Doctor Who', but I have come to apply the concept of regeneration to humans as well. I may not be a Time Lady with two hearts, but I most definitely change, grow and regenerate. A recent rewatching of  Eleven's regeneration made me believe in it even more. Everything he said was so completely relatable .

"But times change, and so must I"

"We all change. When you think about it, we're all different people all through our lives, and that's okay, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me"

My college regeneration so far has been my favourite. The most chaotic, wonderful, scary and lovely all at the same time. I didn't have a pin-stripe suit or a bow tie, but I had my short hair. I had my soundtracks changing with every season. Most importantly I had my companions. Some who were the first face this face saw, some who I carried on from before, some completely new ones. All whom I will always have with me. Maybe not all in every adventure but the life of the Doctor is strange and wonderful and hopefully very long so there is room for everyone and still enough for lots of additions

"It all just disappears, doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment, like breath on a mirror. Any moment now... He's a-comin'."

And just as suddenly as this college regeneration happened, the new one will begin. We will all be left in strange places not knowing how to fly our own T.A.R.D.I.S. Slowly, begrudgingly re-learn some things and excitedly learn new ones. Regenerations are scary and exciting business. I wonder what my catchphrase will be, what will be my costume? Will the soundtrack get darker or lighter, orchestral or electronic. However the Doctor would be nothing without his companion and neither would I. So I go into this regeneration, knowing that when I come out the other side not liking the colour of my kidneys, wishing I was ginger or wondering If I am good person, I am safe because I have my companions. Change can leave both parties afraid and confused and doubting things, but just knowing that the company is still around makes everything better.

So bring it on regeneration.

She has tears stored in herself.
Inside the depth of those large
Brown Eyes
are shelves and cabinets
of glass phials for her many tears.

Some are the sweetest you could imagine
saved for the joy of seeing a mountain road
saved for hearing a song long forgotten ago

She uses some to cope with her bitterness
And some help her drown her sorrow in sleepiness

The ones she loves the most flow with a smile.
The ones she loves the dearest, are all memories
with the purest of delight.

The Artist- Background score love

Here is a new background score for you guys to fall in love with.

For those who haven't seen The Artist, move your lazy bums, get it to a screen and watch! The score is by Ludovic Bource, who has mainly worked with Michel Hazanavicius, director of The Artist.

Being a silent film this was the dialogue. Even though they wrote out to you what was being said there was such immense focus on the score.
Its presence was felt throughout the entire film, calling it background would be extremely insulting.
And the only word that comes to mind to try and describe it is, lightness. To me the essence of all the characters and the story is to a large extent stored in the score of the film and for this films more than half of it is in this beautiful score. And as my mum said "its lovely, that someone got to compose such music again."

My favourite part it that even if it isn't a happy scene, if its something filled with anger or sadness, there is just this layer of sweetness in this score, as is with the film.

So as always hear these two songs above and then the rest on youtube later, especially:
Peppy and George
Fantaisie d'Amour

Doesn't it make you want to live in the 1930s.
Enjoy it!

Would you do me a favour?  Can listen this while you read. You'll understand I'm talking about better.

You know that feeling when your heart feels so full its going to burst. You breathe so deeply and you close your eyes to take it all in. You feel the vastness of this world, of this heart of yours, your life and your love.

That is how i would describe 'epic'
Feeling so big you can barely survive it

I know you all know I love background scores. I love them not as a piece of music but a way of life.

The absence of words fills me up better. Some might consider it silly when I say I listen epic scores while walking down the road. Even I might consider it silly.

But what I feel at that moment I would never give up for anything, for even my life.

Have you ever tried it? Listen to something that fills you up.
Listen to it outside, where there is sky, where night wind loops around you neck.

It feels like there is a joke shared among only this vast universe and me, just the 2 of us.
Its what magic feels like I guess.

Believe me when I say it makes me Brave.

Everyone has that something or someone, that helps them out with anything. Any situation, if you have that person or that particular thing, you're not afraid anymore.
That's what this music is for me.

A friend had recently asked me "what is the one thing that makes all your decisions? That one thing that governs all your actions?"

Its the music I listen to.

Being brave is the only thing I have ever wanted to be.
Such importance is given in my family, to standing up for things you believe in. For being brave.

And I want to be remembered for only that. For being the bravest person someone knew.

But my heart feels so divided. One side feels that if there were ever a situation for me to show courage I would. I would proudly with my shoulders high go into this situation. And this other part of me doubts it, tells me that all I would be is a Coward and nothing more.

If this music makes me brave then so be it.
So many of countless doubts have been silenced by this music
So many times I have done things with nothing in my, nearly bursting heart, but this music.
And this is how I intend to live my life.
With Bravery

Songs of the day/ Background Score Love - Kung Fu Panda

Ello there,

You have seen Kung Fu Panda haven't you? Its fantastically awesome! yes its true, its that awesome.

A couple of days ago I was online, as I as usually seem to be, downloading some music.
My ipod recently had a host of problems that left without most of my music. I was getting the theme from Finding Nemo ( it will get a post of its own, later) and the youtube sidebar showed some Kung Fu Panda songs.
And then some punches to the face, rickshaw chases, roundhouse kicks, silk eating goats, geese fathers and baby panda's later, I got nearly the entire soundtrack :)

It makes me so unbelievably happy this music. What is so wrong with feeling epic and you solve some math problems or brush your teeth or wearing your sweater or talking to your cousin or walking down stairs or ......... well you understand.

So here let me make you friday more epic and then you will love the it so much, then you'll here it all throughout the weekend.

Music by- Hans Zimmer and John Powell
ok bye

P.S- Thank you sister, for redesigning the blog. I loves you :)

The last trace of steam evaporated in the autumn air

Remember when I had done the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 background score post, of course you dont!

Don't worry I won't be mad. OR WILL I !!!

Okay I'll tell you.....
I'd written that it was the only harry potter soundtrack that maintained its own identity.
I thought that it was the only harry potter soundtrack I had actually liked.

I had firmly believed that.

That was before I had heard this.

I think my heart cried a little.

I never thought I had such love and feelings for the films.
But I do.
I thought that when the movies ended I would be sad that there would be no more harry potter to look forward to, but it turns out that I am genuinely sad for the films.
One thing I had established in my heart was that I would never come to terms with the end of that story.
I knew when the train pulled away from the station that it could never end because I would never let it end.
You have to will yourself to let go.
Something I refuse to do.

p.s - I was really hoping they would play this at the end of the film........and they did.
So I cried.

Back to habits/Background Score Love- Bourne trilogy

I drew some more today. This burst of bits of inspiration was long overdue. But sadly my writing has been non existent and no amounts force re-reading has helped. So now I have resorted to my earlier method. The same method that I have been trying to avoid. I listen to some background scores (surprise surprise) of simliar theme. I have been trying to avoid this because it becomes a very annoyingly dependent habit and I want to be able to write without music.

Anyway so my score for today is - The Bourne trilogy soundtrack composed by John Powell.

The theme is so extremely perfect and it makes you feel so many cool things all at once. A few of the things this score makes you feel like you are doing and makes you want to do are:

1) while using the computer and hearing some of the songs you do in fact feel like you are uncovering some covert government operation.

2) hacking into the systems of said government to send them on the wrong trail.

3) knowing more about your forgotten espionage career.

4) gravely stare, first into the computer screen then into the distance above the screen, reason for sudden rush of emotions being  -the sadistic govt. operation
-the horrible things you did before turning rogue.

5) a sense of urgency suddenly attacks you. This would be cooler if after leaving your computer screen you were to assemble your gun but life, sadly is not always so obliging.

So thats it I am off trying to force my sub conscious to reveal my hidden espionage skills I urge you all to do the same and my the best spy win!

p.s - always, whenever you can help it use the word espionage instead of spying
     - I have always wanted to say the word 'rogue'. I can die in peace now.

Background Score Love- Harry Potter deathly hallows part 1

You know what breaks my heart more that opnening my 7th harry potter
hearing Obliviate.

For the first time a harry potter soundtrack that maintained its individuality

Just hearing this song gives me this wretched scared feeling like I know what is ahead of me but I just don't have the courage in my heart to move forward.
The brilliance that the writing of J.K Rowling is that by the 7th book you weren't a spectator. You were a best friend
A Weasley  maybe.
There weren't 3 main but 4.
you too were appointed this great task of helping harry of being there for him.

And this track for me is the only thing that has captured that feeling.
that feeling of loosing all of your heart yet having to move forward because you must.

This is the only sound that could get the  force to crush your heart watching Hermione make here parents believe she doesn't exist. The only sound that could capture the strained lives of all the Weasley's
The only sound that meant sacrifice.

Background Score Love - Pirates of the Caribbean

All it takes is one man's creative genius, a few hundred people and their years worth of skill, a kickass visual in your head and the click of your mouse button.
That is all you will ever need, because once it starts you're there!

(the only way I can say this is if you're listening as well so click play NOW!)

You're there, aboard The Black Pearl.Completely seeing everything, feeling every emotion, probably even fighting one of the minor characters. But you're there. You're a Pirate..

There very few song that bring a huge smile to me face.Infact there is no Coldplay song that will always cheer me up.The only song that will (no matter what I feel) after about 10 seconds bring a huge smile on my face. And one of the best things is that  you feel the entire movie in these 5 minutes.Everything from the epic sword fights on the top masts, to loony-ness of Jack and also bits from Will and Elizabeth action. Its brilliant!
I mean how on earth can a person pack in so much of 3 movies in just 5 minutes.
Also this track holds a special place in my heart because of a silly dance my cousin and I did for my mum
(we were bored, it was the summer) I think its safe to say that this soundtrack as epic as it is, its a home
ballet's best friend. :)

Music- Hans Zimmer

p.s- if this post gets good feedback I might post more about my score junkie-ism. If not I'll still probably post more.muahah

Background Score Love!

My love for background scores constantly grows, with every new movie  I see. And of course Hans Zimmer is God when it come to background scores. The stuff he's done.....Oh my God! Almost every second movie is done by him. But somehow The Lord of the Rings score by Howard Shore will always always remain my favourite no matter what.It always makes me feel better.Still its brilliance get magnified by a million when heard with the lights out , the weather rainy and the eyes closed.
It will never ever fail.

Its more than a background score for me.I haven't read the books and I like the films but the score means something entirely different to me.
It's a friend.
